Nelson Chan is the Head of Financial Services Business Development for Hong Kong and Taiwan at Amazon Web Services (AWS). He brings over 18 years’ experience in banking, strategy consulting and cybersecurity from Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia to help customers and partners accelerate their digital transformations.
Prior to joining AWS, Nelson led digital transformation and strategic initiatives at Standard Chartered Bank, ANZ Bank and BankWest in national, regional and global roles. This included developing the initial business and licensing strategy for one of Hong Kong’s virtual banks. Before his banking career, Nelson held technology-focused roles in strategy consulting and the Australian Federal Government.
Nelson has a Bachelor of Computer Science (University of Melbourne), a Master in Strategic Affairs (Australian National University) and an MBA (Melbourne Business School).
