Mr. Rico Tang is STEPN Advisor. STEPN is a Web3 lifestyle app with social and game elements. Users equipped with sneakers NFT can move outdoors to earn rewards. The project aims to inspire millions of people to a healthier lifestyle, connect them to Web3 and combat climate change.
Mr. Tang has over 20 years of experience in financial technology, exchange business, global market data, regional business management and pension fund. Prior to joining STEPN, he was FinTech Team Lead of Cyberport responsible for the development of Cyberport FinTech and Blockchain ecosystem and the founder of a HK based blockchain technology company in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP); and he had also held various senior positions in global financial technology company, financial institutions and top university, including Head of Transaction Business Asia, Thomson Reuters, Director, Reuters Hong Kong Fund Management, Advisory Board Member of University of Hong Kong FinTech Index Series, Members of Capability Building and Data Working Groups of Green and Sustainable Finance Center (Co-Chaired by HKMA and SFC).
Mr. Tang holds a BA. (Hon) degree in Accounting and Financial Management from University of Essex, and a Master degree in Business Administration from City University of Hong Kong.
